Have you seen the new PokerPro hold em poker tables? The very first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about two weeks ago when I took a short vacation with my wife to the WinStar Gambling den in Oklahoma.

As I anxiously waited for my name to be summoned at the live tables, I noticed how the other individuals around the PokerPro tables interacted with one another. It was very intriguing to say the least. Because the poker table was computer controlled, there have been no poker chips to do any chip tricks, no cards to shuffle and the real live encounter was stagnant. Maybe I was the only one that spotted this, except I did notice the gamblers in the table had a dull high quality to them. The cause of this may well be since there was no human conversation with the croupier, the atmosphere was rather boring and the gamblers looked bored. It was nearly as if I was looking at a live variant of an internet based texas hold em poker room instead of sitting with warm blooded humans. It was a tiny bit spooky and I kept flashing back to an episode of ST:TNG and the holodeck broke down.

Since the waiting time for the live tables for more than an hour, I decided to see how the casino game action was and to experience this new texas hold’em poker gaming technologies. Following playing a few hands, I truly felt like I was wagering at home. The lack of activity in the table was the main reason. I like to stack and shuffle my chips, and mix my cards around. None of those things are feasible at these computer tables.

Another thing I noticed was how the program dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I wagered a good deal of hands on the PokerPro table and noticed that the wager on was a great deal like an internet based holdem poker site. That could have been just a coincidence, but I discovered it to become extremely odd.

Soon after wagering a couple of rounds with this "new texas holdem poker technology", I decided that the PokerPro tables were not for me. I’m better off playing hold em poker online at house and not travel the distance. If WinStar Gambling den were to receive rid of the stay poker tables, I think they would shed a good deal of players.
